Day 12 of 19 days of work. Today was surprising and gratefully easy. I was expecting that after a relaxing Sunday that today went without much trouble. I thought by shortly after opening, it’d be back to the chaos of last week: Monday-phonelines cut all day; Wednesday/Thursday-back up of sewer & Friday-going in an hour early for electrical work and cleaning up the yesterday’s sewer damage. All due to the demolition of the building next door. Oh, all this while I was to suppose to be on vacation!
when your up…
21 06 2007As I wake up various mornings (3-5AM) and surf, I do occassionaly come across things that are useful (at least to me). Today’s was netvouz.com. Another social bookmarking site like del.icio.us and others. What I did like about his one was its search features. Besides grouping by tags you can search even with part of the word unlike my favorite del.icio.us. Still playing with it but I like it except for the Google ads (well, it’s a free site andf they gotta make money somewhere).

Rabbit’s license plate
13 06 2007Well, it’s been just over two weeks since I got the car and I’m trying to guess the 1st couple of characters of the plate. I just saw a 5Z… (1st 5Z I’ve ever seen) and the month was Oct. So far, I have YET to see a 6A… plate anywhere. Oct to June cars gotta be somewhere. Where are they? So, depending on my random plate, I will decide whether to spring for a vanity/personalized plate.

2 weeks with new car
10 06 2007It’s been two weeks with the new car and have racked up 804 miles so far.
My brother drove back my old Honda CRV to Eugene, OR this morning. Couldn’t quite que it up at 20000 like I wanted to be turning it over. I ended up being 1 mile over so, not too bad. Tyler won the pool at work I had set up to reach the 200K by being within 75 days. I had hit the 200K yesterday.

1st week impressions…
3 06 2007I’ve had my new car for a week now and have compiled about 300 miles on it. Most of it going to (4) restuarants since we have a guest this week and it’s roomier than my wife’s Lexus.
What I like:
- more power
- more fun to drive
- sun roof
- locks and unlocks doors automatically
- CD player works with MP3 burned on to them and even displays artist/title.
- it’s new
What I’ll have to get used to:
- gas filler on the passenger side
- light controls seem reversed (in is off/out is off)
- smaller side mirrors
- less cubby holes
