They’re up…the Blue Angels, that is

This year’s Blue Angels airshow images are now up at Flickr. Just 22 images from over 1000. And to think I used to shoot 10+ rolls before. Thank goodness for digital!

Fleetweek 2006

Just trying to catch up alittle here. Last Saturday as I suspected, my secret place was closed off. Because of this, I ended up on the aft deck of the USS Pampanito. Not a bad spot. Up pretty close but you can’t see to the West after “center stage”. Sunday (my 13th different spot), I was at a friend’s place on Telegraph Hill. I was especially proud that I tackled the Filbert St. stairs up to Coit Tower (elevation: 284ft) after 35 years. From there I visited Washington Square and the Italian Festival where I saw more Ferraris than when I was in Italy. It was then to my friend’s. Once there, I had a nice almost , unobstructed view all the way around. Good close-ups of the groups but alittle far for the center-staged criss-crosses. Also nice was that I had a restroom and food. Unfortunately, like everyone else, getting out was tough. There was also a Italian festival and the Forty Nine/Raider football game once I got past the “local” traffic-jam. They say take public transportation which is a joke. FAR too few buses running. You’re better off walking if it’s within 45mins. Will post the photos soon.
